Cavs' Rollercoaster Update

First of all, I'd like to announce that I'll be changing the template of this site back to a basic one, and I'll be starting to add a lot of personal touches to it over the next week with new features. You'll see quotes of the day, bitterfans updates, and other cosmetic add-ons, so stay tuned.

In the sports' world, the Browns have settled in with all their signings and dealings for the time being. In old news, Jeff Faine has been given permission to seek a trade, and LB Ben Taylor has agreed to a deal with the Packers. Taylor is a decent LB when healthy, but I don't think he was the starter that the Browns apparently wanted him to be this year. This may be a good thing for the Browns. We'll see soon enough. I wish Taylor the best of luck up in Lambeau.

While the NFL Free Agency as a whole has died down a bit, and my NCAA brackets have already been ripped to shreds and thrown all over the place in my office, it's time to put my full focus back into the Cavaliers.

Lately, the Cavs' rollercoaster ride has taken a turn for the better lately and it feels good to know that LeBron James has been coming through later in the game. His game winning shot against the Bobcats recently was nice. Sure it was the Bobcats, but Raymond Felton was playing like one of the better NBA PGs in the league during that game, so LeBron needed to come through or it looked like Felton was going to bury us.

The Cavs followed up with a nice win over the Celtics last night, by pulling away late in the game 94-82. The Cavs are now 40-29 and have won 4 straight to put themselves in a position to go into the playoffs in good shape, provided they don't fall into another rut again. After looking at last year's team and comparing to this year, you have to at least feel good that they've made some progress as a team in the NBA.

While the Cavs have been avoiding a huge letdown late in the season (like last year), they've still had problems with consistency as a team this year, so these last 13 games are going to be very interesting to watch. It all starts tomorrow at Houston, so I want to see this team keep things going for now. LeBron is going to have to be great as normal, and let's hope James has learned a few things about taking big shots from newest Cav 'Flip' Murray since he has been money since coming here. AND one day, when Larry Hughes finally returns, we'll be at full force.
